Recently, Li Dong-liang, the Honorary Chairman of the Friends of Armed Forces Association, visited the Mt.Wuzhi Military Cemetery, accompanied by Deputy Chief of General Staff General Yang, Deputy Army Commander General Lu, Reserve Command Commander General Liu, and Secretary-General of the Association Jian Shi-wei. They paid tribute to the spirits of the nation's heroes and martyrs. They also extended their gratitude to the soldiers stationed at Mt.Wuzhi for their dedication to guarding the cemetery and enduring the hardships of serving in remote mountainous areas. Deputy Chief General Yang, on behalf of Minister of Defense Wellington Koo, presented the soldiers with gifts as a token of appreciation. They also laid flowers and paid respects to the memorial tablets of fallen soldiers.
Honorary Chairman Li also made a special visit to pay tribute to the late Chief of General Staff, General Shen Yi-ming, by laying flowers before his resting place, expressing deep remembrance and respect. During the visit, Li warmly interacted with the soldiers, inquiring about their living and working conditions. He emphasized that he would continue to serve as the military's strongest support, offering more assistance to the troops.
In appreciation of Honorary Chairman Li's long-term care for the military, the soldiers stationed at the Wuzhishan Military Cemetery gifted him a custom-made Iron Man figure. This gesture symbolized their highest respect, representing Li as an "Iron Man" who fearlessly overcomes obstacles to visit and support troops across various regions, further signifying the unbreakable bond between him and the soldiers.
