President Lai Presides Over Spring Memorial Ceremony at Martyrs' Shrine

        The "2026 Memorial Ceremony in Honor of Ancestors and Martyrs Who Died in the Line of Duty" was held at the National Revolutionary Martyrs' Shrine in Yuanshan, Taipei City. Commander-in-Chief President Lai personally presided as the principal officiant, accompanied by Vice President Hsiao, Premier Cho Jung-tai, Acting President of the Judicial Yuan Hsieh Ming-yan, President of the Examination Yuan Chou Hung-hsien, and Acting President of the Control Yuan Li Hung-chun as co-officiants. Also in attendance were Reserve Command Commander Lieutenant General Yu, representatives of fallen heroes' families, and representatives from police and fire services. Floral tributes were offered before the memorial tablets of the National Revolution martyrs in a solemn and dignified atmosphere. Following the ceremony, the President personally extended his condolences to representatives of the bereaved families, expressing gratitude for the martyrs' sacrifice and dedication to the nation and society.

        On the same day, the "2026 Spring Memorial Ceremony" was also held at the Republic of China Military Cemetery, with Vice Chief of the General Staff for Operations General Huang serving as principal officiant. Family members of the deceased were invited to participate in paying tribute to the fallen soldiers of the Armed Forces, commemorating the noble spirit of the brave officers and soldiers who gave their lives for the country and died in the line of duty, and rendering the highest tribute to their fearless sacrifice.
