Armed Forces Reserve Command Expresses Gratitude to the Contribution from the Tainan Reserve Army Counseling Center

 

  On July 3rd, 2019, Chief of General Staff General Shen Yi-ming presided over the inauguration ceremony of the new AFRC Commander Lieutenant General Chiang Chen-chung and expressed his hope that the reservist colleagues will stand and build on the good foundation laid by the previous commanders over the years, follow the leadership of the new commander Chiang, act honestly and pragmatically, continue to improve the combat strength and disaster prevention effectiveness of the military reserve forces, and protect the homeland and national security.
Comfort and encourage colleagues for their hard work
  The ceremony was held at the Zhongyi Military Base in the morning. Chief of General Staff Shen first read the order from president Tsai. Subsequently, the new commander, Lieutenant General Chiang Chen-chung, was sworn in under the witness of General Shen.
  During the ceremony, Chief of General Staff Shen, on behalf of Minister Yen of National Defense, expressed his affirmation and encouragement towards the reservist colleagues for their dedication and hard work in carrying out various tasks. Chief of General Staff Shen said that as the flood period is approaching, the reservist colleagues must maintain close contact and coordination with local governments so as to understand the needs of local governments, provide timely support for prevention and relief in the event of disasters and ensure the safety of people’s life and property.
  Chief of General Staff Shen also pointed out that a graduate from the class of 1984 of Republic of China Military Academy, the new commander Chiang owns a complete track record in education and rich experience in military practice and is transferred to this current post from his previous position as the commander of the Kinmen Defense Command. General Shen hoped that the reservist colleagues will follow the leadership of commander Chiang to work hard continuously and create new achievements. (Youth Daily News)
