
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Huang-pu Military Academy and the 79th anniversary of the Reserve Command. Recently, the Reserve Command held the "Huang-pu 100: Glory and Splendor, Reserve 79: Eternal Loyalty" Joint Art Exhibition opening ceremony at Zhong'ai Camp, presided over by Commander General Liu. Chief of Staff Major General Xue, Political Warfare Director Major General Hu, and Northern Reserve Command Major General Wu also attended. The exhibition features contemporary artist Zheng You-liang's works themed "100 Years of Huang-pu Military Academy" alongside award-winning pieces from the 44th Golden Ring Awards, totaling 57 exquisite artworks.
Commander Liu expressed in his speech that the joint art exhibition titled "Huang-pu 100: Glory and Splendor, Reserve 79: Eternal Loyalty" aims to celebrate the centennial of the founding of the Huang-pu Military Academy. He emphasized the importance of artistic and cultural engagement to nurture the character of all officers and soldiers, aiming for them to embody both literary and military virtues. Through the soft power of culture and arts, he aims to integrate intangible strengths into tangible military capabilities to bring troops together and bridge civilian-military relations to defend the country together.
The Reserve Command highlighted that after retiring as a Major General, Zheng You-liang devoted himself to calligraphy and writing, creating numerous artworks inspired by the spirit of Kinmen's slogans, which carry significant historical significance. Additionally, the 44th Golden Ring Awards, themed "All-out National Defense" not only showcased the power and beauty of art and culture but also exemplified the unwavering spirit of "The Armed Forces Always Stand with the People."
