Commander Liu Visits Changhua New Arts Association and Hemei Counseling Center

        Lieutenant General Liu (Commander of the Armed Forces Reserve Command), accompanied by Major General Hu (Political Warfare Director), Major General Tao (Central Region Commander), and Colonel Han (Political Warfare Director), recently visited Professor Chen Zheng-long of the Changhua New Arts Association and the Hemei Township Veterans Counseling Center. During the visit, he expressed gratitude to the association for its longstanding efforts in fostering public engagement and recognition of national defense through cultural and artistic activities. He also held in-depth discussions on how art and culture can enhance the military’s soft power. Looking ahead, he emphasized the importance of continued collaboration with academia and arts organizations to unite society in building a strong foundation of cultural support and a shared commitment to national defense.

        Commander Liu noted that the New Arts Association has long been a dedicated supporter of the military’s cultural and artistic development, consistently contributing outstanding works for display in the Armed Forces Art Gallery. These efforts have not only enriched the cultural atmosphere on bases but also broadened service members’ artistic appreciation and humanistic outlook. The visit was marked by warm exchanges, with both sides sharing experiences from past collaborations and expressing great anticipation for future opportunities to deepen cultural and artistic ties between the military and the community.

        Commander Liu also emphasized that veterans’ counseling organizations serve as a vital bridge between the military and society. He pledged continued collaboration in promoting community service and public education, strengthening the role of reservists in supporting the nation and fulfilling the mission of all-out defense.
