Taiwan Nonwoven Fabrics Industry Association Demonstrated Respect and Care for the Armed Forces

In an attempt to express gratitude to the Armed Forces Reserve officers and enlisted men as well as Guidance cadres for their contribution to COVID-19 prevention, Taiwan Nonwoven Fabrics Industry Association sought help from the Friends of Armed Forces Association to arrange visits to the Armed Forces Reserve Command in various areas. The team led by Director Chen expressed their respect and gratitude to our Armed Forces Reserve personnel who are the unsung heroes behind the surge in mask production capacity, and hoped everyone in society would show more respect, care, and love for the Armed Forces. During the visits, the Director first presented some monetary compensation on behalf of the Association. The Association has also put in much thought to design a limited edition digital camouflage mask. It is estimated to produce 100 thousand masks, which will be donated to the Armed Forces as a token of our gratitude. The Director said that in response to the governmental policy of epidemic prevention, the Association has fully devoted itself to mask production for the past 2 months. Currently, the Armed Forces mobilized about 800 people daily to support the relevant tasks, such as preparation of materials, production, and packaging. The current daily production of 16 million masks was made possible because of the round-the-clock shifts taken by the raw materials companies, mask production factories and the supporting officers and enlisted men from the Armed Forces Reserve. As a result, the production capacity will continue to increase gradually in the future so as to achieve the goal set by the government.
