The remembrance of martyrs’ sacrifices and their contributions remind active duty to uphold the mission of defending the country and protecting the people. On November 3, 1949, the Communist armed force mobilized more than 20,000 troops to attack Dengbu Island. During the three-day battle, the 67th Division’s bravely fought to defend the island with only 8,000 troops, with the support of the Navy and Air Force.
